Delete your Price Journal account
You can ask us to delete your Price Journal account and the data it holds on our server at any time. It is free and you do not need to give a reason.
How to ask for your account to be deleted
- Email info@t2lazy.co.za with the subject "Price Journal: delete my account".
- So we can find your account, include what you can of: the name you use in the app (Settings), your household's invite code (on the household screen), and your phone's model.
- We reply to confirm it is your account, delete it within 30 days, and email you when it is done.
- Then uninstall the app, or clear its data in your phone's settings, to remove what it keeps on your phone.
What is deleted
- Your account: its identifier, your phone's model name and your display name.
- The shopping lists and recipes that only you use, with their items and ingredients.
- Your membership of every household, so other members no longer see your name.
- The reports you sent with "Something wrong?".
- For users of the old app, the link between your old Firebase account and your new account.
What is kept
- Prices and products you recorded stay in the shared price history that every user sees. They never showed your name, and once your account is deleted they cannot be linked back to you.
- Lists and recipes shared with a household stay with the household's other members, without your name.
- Backups: we keep nightly backups for 14 days, so your data leaves the backups within 14 days of being deleted.
- Server logs (IP address, time and request) are kept for a short time for security and then deleted.
Data on your phone
Your loyalty cards, location, settings and the copy of your lists and recipes kept for offline use are on your phone only, and we never receive the cards or your location. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes all of it. You can do this without asking us.
See the privacy policy for everything the app collects and your rights under POPIA. Questions: info@t2lazy.co.za.
